"The only thing I think it's important to mention here is that while they're identical to their non-flannel counterparts, they are missing the compartments in the knees for the neoprene.

I wear these 5.11 pants on the motorcycle in 20F or so weather, and they're fine, although items in the outer pockets will freeze (so mind things like pens or foodstuffs). They're also pretty good in the rain, as they both protect from the wind and they're thick enough that you don't feel soaked.

With the non-flannel pants, I use aftermarket replacement motorcycle armor to put in the knee compartments, and was saddened to see that these would be warm, but much less safe."

"I absolutely love the regular 5.11 tactical pants. With the addition of the flannel it makes them better. I have always looked for pants that were casual and warm. In the past I have had to put on long johns, or something of that sort. Now I don't have to. Now they just need to make them in other colors, so I can wear them when on duty. It's getting colder, and working Grave shift doesn't make it any warmer. Please 5.11 make them in Black."
